Djibo: The provincial authorities of Soum organized a "Recognition Day" to honor 146 actors from various sectors for their exceptional performance and commitment to serving the province, especially during a challenging security and humanitarian context. This event, held on Friday, was spearheaded by the High Commissioner of the Soum province, Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma, and witnessed participation from administrative authorities, defense and security forces (FDS), technical and financial partners, as well as representatives of the local populace.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the aim of this day was to acknowledge and encourage the efforts made by different actors contributing to the operation of public services and the resilience of the province's communities. A total of 113 letters of commendation were distributed among agents and structures from several sectors, including the provincial directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education, secondary education, vocational and technical training, health services, and provincial directorates overseeing agriculture, family, and solidarity.
Additionally, awards were presented to members of the defense and security forces, agents of the Djibo town hall, an agent of the Arbinda town hall, an RTB agent, municipal police officers, and community agents from secondary and primary schools. Beyond letters of commendation, 33 certificates of recognition were given to various entities and individuals, such as provincial directorates, security units, development partners, resource persons, and community stakeholders.
Six state agents received certificates of exceptional recognition for their long-standing service in the province of Soum, with tenures ranging from 26 to 37 years, as a tribute to their dedication and professional careers in serving the community. In his address, the High Commissioner praised the unwavering commitment and resilience of these actors, emphasizing the importance of expressing gratitude.
The recipients expressed their appreciation to the provincial authorities for this initiative, viewing it as a motivational boost to continue their efforts for the development and betterment of Soum. The ceremony concluded with a sense of satisfaction and mutual recognition among the administrative authorities, fighting forces, and the local population.
