2019 Modern Literature Graduates Support Faso Mebo with Generous Donation

Boulkiemde: The 2019 class of Modern Letters students from Norbert Zongo University in Koudougou donated cement, equipment, and food on Saturday to support the presidential initiative Faso Mebo, calling on other classes to do the same.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consisted of one and a half tons of cement, two bags of red ochre, two 50 kg bags of rice, a 20-liter can of oil, 20 packs of water, 10 trowels, 5 shovels, two wheelbarrows, Nescafe, sugar, and the sum of 20,000 F. The class representative, Boukari Tonde, elaborated that since the first year, the class has carried out numerous activities within the university, with the support of their teachers. Driven by this motivation for the common good, he explained that he and his classmates had decided to do something for the country, and more specifically for the city of Koudougou, which had given them so much.

He also appealed to other graduating classes: 'We must participate in building our own country. There is nothing greater than knowing that you have contributed to the construction of your nation. We are doing this for ourselves, and we invite others to follow suit.' Invited by the graduating class to witness their gesture, Dr. Adama Ouedraogo, a lecturer in French grammar at Norbert Zongo University, praised this patriotic act. 'What is truly touching about their gesture is that these are students who wanted to contribute to strengthen their attachment to the city of Koudougou and the region. Even after their studies and departure, they were determined to support the city that educated them,' he emphasized.

Dr. Ouedraogo also encouraged other Burkinabe to follow this example. "They show that it's possible to contribute where you are, but also elsewhere." He concluded, "This graduating class is a model of solidarity and commitment."

This action by the LM 2019 promotion reflects a strong sense of civic responsibility and perfectly illustrates the spirit of the Faso-Mebo initiative, which aims to strengthen social cohesion and local development through the participation of all segments of the population.
