Starting January 2026, the National Identification Office (ONI) will commence mass production of the AES Biometric Identity Card. This new identification document is designed to be reliable and secure, contributing to the fight against terrorism. Every citizen of the AES community, starting from the age of 5, is eligible to obtain the CIB-AES, with card renewal required at the age of 13. The card, which costs 3,500 CFA francs, is valid for a period of 10 years.

The IPC-AES is crafted from polycarbonate and adheres to stringent international safety and durability standards. The card integrates advanced security data, ensuring reliable identification and the protection of personal data for its holders.
