Houet: The written tests for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and the entrance exam for sixth grade, 2026 session, effectively began this Tuesday in the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dand©, where 320 candidates are competing for their first school diploma.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the day at the various examination centers commenced with the raising of the national flag in the presence of candidates, teachers, and local authorities. This civic-minded moment helped create a calm atmosphere before the start of the first exams. In total, 320 candidates, including 172 girls and 148 boys, are distributed across the two centers under the single jury of Dand©.
At the center of Dand© A, the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Dand©, Adama Zoundi, proceeded to the official opening of the first envelope containing the subjects. On this occasion, he invited the various stakeholders to work towards the transparency and credibility of the examination. "All necessary arrangements have been made to allow candidates to take their exams in peace and quiet. We are counting on everyone's sense of responsibility for the success of this session," he said.
After the first morning exams, several candidates expressed their satisfaction. According to Mougahaba Alisha Goretti Diarra, the essay, dictation, and text analysis questions were accessible. "The exams went well for me. I hope the afternoon exams will be just as manageable," she said. Sibiri Fr©d©ric Dao, a candidate in the Dand© C constituency, shared the same sentiment, praising the excellent organizational conditions. "The proctors are available and respond quickly to our concerns during the exam," he stated.
Other candidates, however, acknowledged encountering some difficulties. This was the case for Samira Sidib©, who said she had trouble with certain grammar questions during the text analysis section. "I wasn't completely comfortable with some of the questions, but I remain confident about the other subjects," she explained.
On the part of the exam administration, there is also satisfaction. The center president, Moumouni Ou©draogo, indicated that the operations are proceeding normally in accordance with the regulations. "With the exception of a few absences recorded among the candidates, everything is going well and the various actors are in their positions," he assured. The invigilators were also pleased with the candidates' behavior. According to Abibata Sawadogo, the instructions were generally followed in the examination rooms.
In view of the organization observed and the climate of serenity which prevails in the centers, the actors remain confident about the smooth running of the session.
