687 Residents in Balav© Receive National Identity Cards Through Mass Issuance Effort

Banwa: 687 people, including 586 women, were issued a Burkinabe National Identity Card (CNIB) in Balav© from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4, 2025. The Balav© women's departmental coordination, in association with the town hall, organized a mass operation to issue Burkinabe National Identity Cards (CNIB) to 687 people, including 586 women.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the Balav© Special Delegation (PDS), Jules Kabore, explained that since 2022, the issuance of CNIBs in Balav© had been halted due to insecurity following the departure of the police. This situation left many residents with expired or lost identification cards.

Jules Kabore further stated that the women's coordination team took the initiative to assist women in obtaining their CNIBs, prompting them to seek assistance from the Solenzo police. The police agreed to collaborate in this effort, facilitating the event for the local residents.

Over the course of three days, CNIB applicants from the villages of the Balav© commune and the commune of Dokuy in Kossi participated in the process. They had their photographs taken and received receipts while they awaited the issuance of their new identification cards.
