Kadiogo: The 6th edition of the African Energy and Renewable Energy Week (SEERA) has come to a close. The event concluded under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo, represented by the Minister in charge of Energy, Yacouba Gouba Zabre.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this edition was themed "Agriculture-Energy-Water Nexus: Challenges and Opportunities" and featured communication sessions, round tables, panels, B2B meetings, and exhibitions. Over the course of two days, participants from various sectors discussed the challenges of sustainable development concerning agriculture, energy, and water.

The Minister of Energy, Yacouba Gouba Zabre, commended the dedication and quality of discussions, expressing gratitude to the organizing committee and participants. He emphasized SEERA's role as a catalyst for Africa's transformation towards resilience and unity.

Discussions underscored the importance of integrating agriculture, energy, and water sectors for sustainable development. Recommendations included promoting cross-border projects among Alliance of Sahel States (AES) countries, enhancing technological capacities, and creating an inter-ministerial framework for agriculture, energy, and water.

SEERA 2025 united public and private stakeholders and African researchers towards achieving energy autonomy and ecological sustainability for Africa.
