Gourma: The Sports Association of Justice (ASJ) of Fada N'Gourma organized a blood collection event in Yendabili on Friday, May 23, 2025, with the goal of saving lives by collecting more than 30 bags of blood.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ASJ event forms part of its ongoing activities. Wendpagnad© Fabrice St©phane Yam©ogo, president of the ASJ of Fada N'Gourma, emphasized the importance of blood donation, especially in the current context. He stated that donating blood is a life-saving gesture, crucial for both Burkinab©s and expatriates.

Mr. Yam©ogo highlighted the increased demand for blood due to the ongoing threat of terrorism, which frequently results in injuries. He explained that the ASJ's initiative aims to support blood donation efforts to aid the general population, Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) who face terrorist attacks.

He further expressed that giving blood signifies an act of love, urging continual participation in this life-saving practice. Barnab© Compaor©, Attorney General at the Fada N'Gourma Court of Appeal, praised the ASJ's efforts, noting the timely nature of the blood drive amidst heightened insecurity and the approaching rainy season, which escalates the demand for blood.

Clerk Abdou Aziz Ou©draogo and Prison Security Guard Assistant Youkalean Eric Balima appreciated the initiative, recognizing the hospital's need for blood. Mr. Balima highlighted the importance of donating blood as malaria season approaches, urging widespread participation to aid those in need during this challenging period.

Julien Millogo, head of the medical team overseeing the event, expressed satisfaction with the organization of the blood drive and remains hopeful that the initiative will exceed its target of collecting more than 30 bags of blood.
