Ouagadougou: The Secretary General of the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Sanitation, Bourama KOUANDA, officially launched the second edition of the MEEA sports and leisure days. The event kicked off this Monday, May 26, 2025, at the sports ground of the National Office of Water and Sanitation (ONEA).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General, representing the Minister of the Environment, Water and Sanitation, emphasized that this second edition of the MEEA sports and leisure days aims to build social cohesion among departmental workers.

The launch featured an aerobics session with participation from the entire department's staff, set to the rhythm of traditional and local music. The evening concluded with a football match between the Budget Program 110 team and the ONEA team, ending in a 4-1 victory for the ONEA team, thereby initiating the competition among the department's budget programs.

Throughout this sports week, participants can engage in various sports and leisure activities, including football, scrabble, p©tanque, and an 8 km race. The football final is set for Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the ONEA sports field.
