Beijing: The international media seminar that began on May 8 in Beijing has concluded on May 28, attended by several notable figures from China and Burkina Faso. These included Inspector Chang Jin of the International Cooperation Department of the National Radio and Television Administration, He Dongbo, Deputy Director General of the China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation (CBIC), and Burkina Faso's Ambassador to China, Daouda Biti©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, for over twenty days, 22 participants from both public and private media sectors benefited from discussions on creating video content, leveraging artificial intelligence, utilizing opportunities offered by new media, and monetizing these platforms. The seminar also featured field visits to Beijing, Jinan, and Qingdao, where participants explored technology companies, media organizations, a broadcasting center, and several universities.
At the seminar's closing ceremony, Inspector Chang Jin expressed his hope that the participants had gained a deeper understanding of Chinese media policies and practices through their immersive experiences. Each participant received a certificate of participation as a token of their involvement.
Chinese authorities have reiterated their aim to achieve full modernization by 2055, noting significant advancements in space, aeronautics, information technology, and agriculture. They emphasized that innovation, cultural-modernity harmony, and prioritizing people are the cornerstones of this development. 'The media plays a vital role. Our administration remains committed to the principles of loyalty, cooperation, and mutual benefit. We hope to continue learning from our partners,' Chang stated.
Ambassador Daouda Biti© lauded the quality of Sino-Burkinabe relations and encouraged participants to apply their newly acquired skills towards the national territory's development.
