Nouna: The final of the 44th edition of the Brother Emmanuel Duprez Mini Cup took place this Friday, May 30, 2025, in Nouna, on the Monseigneur Jean Lessourd pitch. The Renaissance football club team won the cup against Cobra Sport, by a score of 4 goals to 3.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the final of the 44th edition of the Mini Coupe du Fr¨re Emmanuel Duprez, of an appreciable technical level, was played in a spirit of fair play. Led masterfully by Aboubacar Serem© and assisted by Issoufou Ouattara and Dieudonn© Coulibaly, each team had its highlights.

Renaissance Football Club dominated the first half, opening the scoring in the 12th minute, with an incursion from Assane Ou©draogo. Back from the locker room, Cobra Sport showed more determination by scoring the equalizer in the 60th minute of play, cooling the opposing team's enthusiasm.

A penalty shootout was needed to separate the two teams. Renaissance Football Club proved more skillful, scoring 4 goals against 3, thus winning the 44th edition trophy consecutively. Eleven teams took part in this edition, played in group stages of two, in quarter-finals and in semi-finals.

The secretary general of the organizing committee, Yacouba Moukoro, praised the longevity of the Mini Cup. He also shed light on the promoter's support by providing each participating team with pairs of shoes. The various speakers praised the spirit of solidarity and mutual aid and, above all, the joy that this brings to young people for their development.

The promoter, Brother Emmanuel Duprez, indicated that the funds intended for the reception after the tournament were donated to the public treasury to support the peace effort. At the end of the tournament, the Renaissance football club received a trophy, four balls, a set of jerseys and the sum of 195,000 CFA francs. Cobra Sport receives 3 balls, a set of jerseys and the sum of 95,000 CFA francs. All teams entered received prizes based on their rank. The youngest player, the oldest player, the best goalkeeper and the best scorer were awarded special prizes.
