Five New Directors Aim to Establish AIB as Benchmark in West Africa

Ouagadougou: Five newly appointed directors at the Burkina Information Agency (AIB) have expressed their commitment to transforming the agency into a regional benchmark in West Africa. The directors were officially installed in their positions during a ceremony held on Wednesday, which was presided over by AIB Secretary General Alban Kini and attended by colleagues, family, and friends.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the appointments include Tilado Apollinaire Abga as Director of Information, Imeta Constant Kissou as Director of Human Resources, Brahima Zongo as Director of Strategic Development, Innovation and Cooperation, Lamoussa Fr©d©ric Ars¨ne Banc© as Director of Information Systems, and Gountanini Boudidano as the Person Responsible for Public Procurement. Each director acknowledged the significant responsibilities they now hold and emphasized their commitment to collaborative efforts to elevate AIB's status in the region.

Tilado Apollinaire Abga emphasized the importance of enhancing both the quality and quantity of AIB's productions, urging his team to work tirelessly and in solidarity. He set an ambitious goal for AIB to become the leading agency in the West African sub-region within five years. Similarly, Lamoussa Fr©d©ric Ars¨ne Banc© called for collective efforts under the guidance of AIB's senior officials to achieve this objective.

Imeta Constant Kissou, the new HR Director, expressed reliance on the entire team to position AIB as a model institution in public information service. Brahima Zongo highlighted the need for greater sacrifices and hard work to tackle the challenges ahead, while Gountanini Boudidano conveyed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the Minister of Communication and AIB's Director General, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving their missions.

Secretary General Alban Kini outlined the specific missions for each director, including fostering innovation and credibility in editorial production, establishing transparent personnel management, structuring AIB's strategic vision, ensuring transparency in procurement, and maintaining a secure digital environment. He encouraged the directors to exhibit leadership, humility, and openness while harnessing collective intelligence to realize AIB's goals.

The AIB, established as a public administrative establishment on August 21, 2024, by the Burkinabe government, aims to better fulfill its mission of information collection and national sovereignty defense.
