Boulkiemde: Under the aegis of the president of the special delegation (PDS) of Sabou, Abdoul Aziz Koara, local actors and partners visited, last Saturday, the market gardening perimeter of more than one hectare developed in Tamtoore for the benefit of the widows of the Defence and Security Forces (FDS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, this project is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Collectif 06, aiming to strengthen the economic empowerment of the widows of the FDS through agricultural practice. The president of Collectif 06, Serge Igor Birba, emphasized the objective of providing these women with sustainable means of subsistence. He stated that the initiative is designed to teach the widows to be self-sufficient in the long term.

One of the beneficiaries expressed her gratitude, highlighting the opportunity to provide for her needs and ensure her children’s future independently. She appreciated the initiators for offering such a chance to the widows.

Abdoul Aziz Koara, the PDS of Sabou, praised the initiative as an example to follow. He expressed pleasure at the project’s completion in Tamtoore, noting its potential to enable the widows of the fighting forces to support themselves and their families.

The project was initiated by Collectif 06 in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture to support the widows of the fighting forces through market gardening.
