Solenzo: A friendly match was played between Solenzo’s team and Kouka’s team on Saturday, November 1, 2025, on the field of the Solenzo “A” school in the presence of administrative, customary, religious and military authorities. This football match aimed to magnify the actions of the Fighting Forces in the province of Banwa on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the national armed forces.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the youth of the municipality of Kouka traveled to Solenzo to participate in a friendly match as part of the 72 hours of activity organized by the 18th Rapid Intervention Battalion, supporting the 65th anniversary of the national armed forces.
Rodrigue Coulibaly, provincial president of the coordination of the citizen watch, stated that the match was delivered in search of fraternity, cohesion, and good collaboration between the FDS, VDP, and the civilian population, and was witnessed by a football-loving public.
The teams, Kouka in blue and Solenzo in green, provided a suspense-filled match with numerous scoring opportunities. Despite the efforts, the match concluded in a goalless draw.
The High Commissioner, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, the PDS of Solenzo, Marou Ilboudo, and Captain Papa Parfait Kambou, commander of the 18th Rapid Intervention Battalion, extended their congratulations to both teams for organizing a sporting activity that united the community of Solenzo.
