Women of Christian Alliance Support Defense Volunteers with Food Donations

Koosin: Women from the Union of the Christian Alliance (UFAC) extended their support to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) by offering food during an evangelization session held on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the UFAC organized the event, marking an important moment as it was the first celebration since their return from three years of forced exile. The event featured songs of adoration and praises, emphasizing the community’s joy to celebrate Christ in their ancestral land. Angele Tiawara, the women’s leader of the local church, expressed their happiness in being able to partake in such a significant celebration.

Pastor Isaac Sanou, the first leader of the church, highlighted that this was the inaugural gathering since the community’s reinstallation. The event was further enhanced by the presence of various religious denominations, showcasing social cohesion and communal harmony within the village. The church presented donations of rice, oil, flavors, salt, and sugar to the VDP as a gesture of encouragement for their efforts in reclaiming the national territory.

The ceremony, themed “Only where we have arrived, let us walk at one pace,” based on Philippians 3:6, underscored the community’s resolve and unity as they move forward together.
