Ipelce: The Ipelce municipal coordination of citizen vigilance organized a day to promote social cohesion and support the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. The highly mobilized population demonstrated their full support for the initiative. The commune of Ipelce in the province of Baz¨ga, Nazinon region experienced a festive atmosphere on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the citizens of the city and the populations of the 13 municipalities responded massively to the call of the Municipal Coordination of Citizen Watch (CCVC). Mahama Kouraogo, coordinator of the CCVC in Ipelce, stated that the objective is to promote social cohesion and harmonious living among local communities and to reaffirm the commitment of the people of Ipelce to support and assist the President of Burkina Faso.
Held under the patronage of Chief Naba Sonre of the Ipelce canton, this event mobilized various segments of the population, including administrative authorities, religious and traditional leaders, youth, and men and women from the 13 villages of the commune. Thierry Nikiema, the representative to the President of Burkina Faso for the Nazinon region, commended the initiative, which was marked by strong participation. He encouraged the people to unite and take concrete action for endogenous development, without any external assistance.
The participants in this day pledged to unite to confront the enemies of the nation and to support the various presidential initiatives put in place by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. In this vein, the president of the special delegation of the Ipelce commune, Emeline Kiemtore/Bonkoungou, called on the population to promote peace and social cohesion and to unite behind the President of Burkina Faso for the sovereignty of the country and the fight against insecurity.
The day's events included several activities, notably an awareness campaign on helmet use led by the Ipelce district police station. The day of social cohesion and support for the President of Burkina Faso, themed "Promoting social cohesion and living together among local populations," began with a women's cycling race. The finals of the football and petanque tournaments brought the day to a festive close.
