Sourou Merchants’ Association Donates Over 1,200,000 CFA Francs to Faso Mebo Initiative

Sourou: The Sourou Traders' Association presented a donation worth a total of 1,215,000 CFA francs to Tougan for the Faso Mebo presidential initiative. The donation comprises ten tons of cement, forty shovels, and twenty pickaxes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Aziz Rabo, the representative of the donors, expressed satisfaction with the contributions to Faso Mebo in Tougan. He noted that while some individuals had already made their donations, the Amicale was preparing its contribution. Rabo emphasized the importance of Burkinabe citizens taking an active role in the development of their country.

He stated, "It is up to us to develop our country. No one will come and do it for us. This initiative is therefore a great opportunity for every Burkinabe to contribute to national development." Rabo also mentioned his intention to return with a personal contribution, as the current donation represents the Association and not individual member contributions.

In a related act of generosity, last September, the Sourou Traders' Association donated medical-technical equipment worth 900,000 CFA francs to the Tougan Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA).
