Ioba/dano: The High Commissioner of the Ioba Province, Innocents Ouattara, presided over a consultation meeting with informal economy actors in Dano on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in the presence of the provincial director in charge of youth and employment. The meeting aimed to further structure the informal sector to make it more dynamic and efficient in the province. It also served as a forum for discussion in preparation for the upcoming provincial forum on the informal economy.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at the opening of the proceedings, the president of the Ioba Provincial Council for the Informal Economy, Adjaratou Sedogo nee Ouedraogo, expressed the stakeholders' commitment to professionalizing their activities. High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara, for his part, encouraged participants to organize themselves to share their experiences and innovate in order to be more competitive and able to penetrate the national and international markets.
He reiterated the government's vision focused on promoting and consuming local products made by Burkinabe artisans. The agenda included the presentation of the provincial office for the informal economy, networking opportunities for participants, and discussions on the organizational details of the provincial forum.
The participants expressed their support for the organization of the forum scheduled for the end of November 2025. In total, 36 actors from various sectors of activity took part in the meeting, which concluded on a note of general satisfaction.
