Niangoloko: The Director General of Customs of Burkina Faso, Yves Kafando, visited the main office of the 2nd category Customs in Niangoloko to offer encouragement and engage with local agents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit aimed to enable Yves Kafando to gain firsthand experience of the realities on the ground in a challenging security context. During his visit, he met with staff at the Niangoloko Customs office and freight forwarders to communicate his vision for the work in line with the directives of the highest authorities of the Burkinabe state.

Amidou Konate, the head of the Niangoloko Customs office, expressed satisfaction and delight at the visit, stating it allowed Kafando to understand the situation on the ground better and provide advice for improved efficiency. Konate believes this visit will further motivate the agents and strengthen their commitment to greater revenue mobilization.
