Governor Initiates Paving Works at Fada N’Gourma Central Market


Gourma: The governor of the Goulmou region, Ram Joseph Kafando, symbolically laid paving stones at the central market of Fada N’Gourma on Thursday, November 13, 2025, marking the start of beautification work as part of the presidential initiative “Faso Mebo”.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor praised the efforts made by the population for the success of this program, which aims to make the cities of Burkina Faso cleaner, more welcoming, and healthier. The president of the Central Market Traders Association, Kader Thiombiano, welcomed the choice of the central market of Fada N’Gourma to host the first phase of the works, indicating that with these beautification activities, access will be safer and smoother.



For his part, the President of the special delegation of the commune of Fada N’Gourma, Kampadilemba Jerome Idani, specified that several other sites will benefit from the paving works in the city of Yendabli. This includes the area around the central market, the market in sector 7, the fruit and vegetable market, the roads in front of the two main transport companies, and the road linking the Diaba Lompo high school to the courthouse.



This work is part of the dynamic of the presidential initiative “Faso Mebo”, which aims to promote urban cleanliness and the well-being of the population through concrete actions to clean up and beautify the cities of Burkina Faso.
