Bam: The High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Ouedraogo, inaugurated the Youth Listening Center (CEJ) in Kongoussi to contribute to improving the sexual and reproductive health of young people and adolescents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the facility, comprising a consultation room and a library, aims to promote the health and well-being of young people and adolescents in the city of Kongoussi. Dr. Arzouma Idrissa Ouedraogo, the chief medical officer of the Kongoussi health district, stated that the center was made possible through the contribution of two district partners. "The land was donated to us by the NGO Dignus, and the NGO Doctors of the World France built and equipped the premises. We thank both NGOs for this partnership," he explained.

The doctor in charge of the center, Dr. Christian Tegwendee Yameogo, specified that the center is equipped with 16 appropriate technical services to help improve the sexual and reproductive health of young people.

The High Commissioner congratulated the district health officials and their partners for developing this initiative. He also encouraged young people to fully embrace the center, transforming it into a true space for listening, information, and personal development. As a reminder, this inauguration coincided with National Family Planning Week, which is celebrated from November 10th to 16th, 2025.
