School Kits and Insurance Vouchers Donated to Orphans of Security Forces in Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou: Two organizations have taken a step to support the children of fallen security personnel and volunteers by providing essential school kits and insurance vouchers. The Youth Council for the Development of the Sahel (CJDS) and Web TV Venegre TV distributed these items on Saturday in the 10th district of Ouagadougou. This initiative aims to assist fifty orphans of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) to ensure they have a peaceful school year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the CJDS, Ismael Sawadogo, highlighted that this effort aligns with the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP). The RPP encourages citizens, especially politically aware youth, to engage in nation-building under the guidance of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore. The donations included school kits and Raynal Assurance vouchers, offering school insurance coverage for the year to the beneficiaries.

Ismael Sawadogo emphasized the critical historical moment Burkina Faso is experiencing, facing an imposed war. He noted the sacrifices made by men and women who have stood against threats to national peace, stressing the nation's duty to support the families of those who have fallen.

Fatimata Sawadogo nee Ouedraogo, representing the beneficiaries, expressed profound gratitude to the donors. She mentioned that this act of solidarity has alleviated the families' hardships and instilled in the children a sense of being loved and supported, aiding them in coping with the loss of their parents.

Augustin Kabore, the president of the special delegation for district 10, commended the initiative, recognizing it as a significant source of moral and material support for the bereaved families. He affirmed that the sacrifices made by the security forces and volunteers would not be forgotten and called on other organizations to emulate this act of generosity.
