Yaadga Region Opens Sites to Receive Contributions for Faso Mebo Initiative

Yaadga: The sites of Gondologo (Tougan road) and Somyaga (Ouaga road) were opened Tuesday in the Yaadga region to receive contributions to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo. The technical advisor to the governor of the Yaadga region, Issouf Savadogo, received contributions for Faso Mebo on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, marking the opening of the reception of support for the presidential initiative in this region of the country.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Yaadga region, like other regions in the country, has begun receiving donations to support the Faso Mebo initiative, aimed at revitalizing the towns in the area. This move is not only about collecting contributions but also serves as a call to action for the citizens of Yaadga to engage with and support the project.

Issouf Savadogo, representing the governor, emphasized the importance of community involvement, inviting all residents, especially the youth, to contribute to the success of Faso Mebo. He urged the young people, deemed "the linchpin of development," to embrace the initiative, highlighting the need for physical participation.

Sanata Ouedraogo, the special envoy to the Presidency of Faso, remarked that the initiative aligns with the expectations of the inhabitants across the four provinces of Loroum, Passore, Yatenga, and Zondoma. The launch event also saw significant contributions, including a donation of 20 tons of cement by Isso Sawadogo, president of the Burkina Faso potato producers, who encouraged others to contribute similarly.

The regional coordination team assured donors of the transparent and efficient management of the contributions at the designated sites, reinforcing trust in the initiative's execution.
