Manni: The Basic Education District (CEB) of Manni launched an exceptional mobilization last week around the national solidarity campaign D¨m¨ Sira, with a solemn flag-raising ceremony bringing together teachers, students, and parents in a display of patriotism and civic duty.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was held at the Manni-East school where the teaching staff, dressed in traditional attire, sang the Ditany¨ in the Gulimance language, highlighting the cultural unity and commitment of the educational community to social cohesion.

The initiative is part of the momentum generated by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, and the Ministry of National Solidarity through the D¨m¨ Sira campaign, designed to promote mutual aid and fraternity within communities.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the CEB (Basic Education Center), Dahani Marcellin Damolga, called on teachers and community leaders to make solidarity "a core value of education and a foundation of national resilience." "Sowing solidarity from the earliest years of schooling is preparing a strong, fraternal, and resilient Burkina Faso," he declared to an attentive audience.

Following this, teachers were encouraged to dedicate 30 minutes to discussions with their students in each classroom to instill the values of mutual aid, unity, and civic responsibility. A concrete act of solidarity also marked the meeting: a spontaneous collection of 42,600 CFA francs was organized for the benefit of Internally Displaced Students (IDS), with a call to continue this momentum in all schools within the district.

This solemn flag-raising ceremony serves as a reminder that Burkinabe schools remain a pillar of stability, a conduit for values, and a source of civic engagement, determined to contribute to building a united and peaceful society.
