Ouagadougou: Ten newly appointed Heads of Basic Education Districts (CCEB) in the Guiriko region have been reminded of the imperatives of good governance during an orientation meeting. The meeting was convened by Mr. Soilliou KARANTAO, the Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Guiriko, as these leaders officially commence their duties.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting aimed to underscore the essential rules of responsible administrative management. Mr. Karantao congratulated the educational leaders on their appointments, encouraging them to live up to the responsibilities entrusted to them. He highlighted key principles such as institutional loyalty, transparent communication, collaboration, adherence to the chain of command, and diligence in reporting as fundamental to their roles.
The meeting also included the participation of Provincial Directors of Preschool, Primary, and Non-Formal Education for Houet, Tuy, and Kenedougou-Mr. Raoul Tuina, Mr. Ladji Ouattara, and Mr. Faustin Sanon. They urged the new officials to foster participatory management, engage in regular dialogue, and implement strategies from the recent Regional Education Forum in Guiriko. The directors stressed the importance of community mobilization and service coordination in enhancing academic performance.
The newly appointed CCEBs expressed their appreciation for the guidance and support from top education authorities. They committed to bolstering educational leadership and striving for a 95% pass rate on the 2026 Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) exam, a target aimed at maintaining the region's educational vigor.
The supportive environment within the DREPPNF of Guiriko serves as an added motivation for these leaders to elevate educational outcomes further.
