Noumbiel/PRECEL Project: 100 Beneficiaries Receive 364 Animals and 108 Poultry

Noumbiel: As part of the implementation of the Livestock Resilience and Competitiveness Project (PRECEL), 100 people received livestock kits on Thursday consisting of goats, sheep, pigs, poultry, livestock feed, and veterinary products, to strengthen or start projects.According to Burkina Information Agency, one hundred people from vulnerable groups, primarily internally displaced persons (IDPs), people living with disabilities, women, and young people facing economic hardship, were identified as beneficiaries of the donation. Each recipient of animals received at least four bags of feed. Those who received poultry also received six bags of feed, as well as accessories and veterinary products.The overall objective of this support is to contribute to strengthening resilience, expanding access to productive assets, and creating jobs and income for the benefit of vulnerable households and individuals receiving assistance.The provincial director in charge of agriculture, animal resources, and fisheries for Noumbiel, Yacouba Ouattara, encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the animals they received, so that the investments made by the State through the PRECEL program truly benefit households and the community. He assured them that monitoring and support measures are already in place to allow beneficiaries to get the most out of the kits.The province's High Commissioner, Drissa Hema, gave advice and urged the beneficiaries to take good care of these kits. "You are the fortunate beneficiaries and it is certain that many would like to be in your place today," said Drissa Hema, High Commissioner of the Noumbiel province.
