Zondoma Development Boosted by New 43-Member Team

Zondoma: The Association of Natives of the Northern Region for Economic and Social Development (ADES-NORD) held a significant general assembly in Gourcy, marking the installation of a new executive committee for the Zondoma section. This gathering, presided over by High Commissioner Aboubacar Sidiki Nabe, focused on reviewing the activities of 2024-2025 and setting the stage for future development endeavors.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the assembly brought together individuals from the region's four provinces-Loroum, Passore, Yatenga, and Zondoma. High Commissioner Nabe, on behalf of the Governor of the Yaadga Region, lauded the association's contributions to regional development, emphasizing the collective responsibility in fostering growth. He expressed his best wishes to the newly formed Zondoma branch team.

Mahamadi Bangrin Ouedraogo, President of ADES NORD, highlighted the assembly's dual objectives: evaluating past activities and installing the new executive committee. He stressed the importance of adapting to the new law on freedom of association. Ouedraogo encouraged unity and responsibility, urging the incoming committee to commence their duties promptly to achieve their mission.

El Adj Salam Traore, installed as the leader of the 43-member team, committed to working diligently to mobilize resources, enhance local potential, and initiate impactful actions for the benefit of Zondoma. The assembly also included the presentation of the activity report, adoption of the 2026 action plan, and revisions to the association's bylaws to align with new legislation.

ADES NORD aims to enhance resource mobilization, expand partnerships, and establish branches in other regions and among the diaspora. The assembly was held under the patronage of His Majesty Naaba Baongo, Chief of Gourcy, and Mahamadi Ouedraogo, known as Limam, President of the Yaadga Region Employers' Association.
