Dori: The Association for the Culture of Development (ACD Naanguª) held a ceremony marking the completion of a vocational training program for 15 young individuals in Dori. The event, conducted on Saturday, January 17, 2026, celebrated the successful conclusion of skill-building initiatives in trades such as tailoring, hairdressing, poultry farming, and mobile phone repair.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the program aimed to address socio-economic challenges by promoting economic empowerment and resilience among youth. Abdoulaye Soura, the coordinator of ACD Naanguª, highlighted the training's focus on equipping participants with practical skills necessary for sustainable integration into the local economy through income-generating activities.
The ceremony featured the presentation of completion certificates and installation kits to the program's beneficiaries. This equipment, tailored to their respective trades, is intended to facilitate the immediate application of their newly acquired skills. "These kits will enable learners to launch their activities and strengthen their financial independence," stated Mr. Soura, encouraging responsible and productive use of the resources.
Mr. Soura acknowledged the crucial financial support from the Support Unit for Decentralization and Citizen Participation (CADEPAC), which played a significant role in the program's success. He also expressed gratitude towards the institutional partners, trainers, and local stakeholders who contributed to the initiative's achievements.
