Dori: The Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) of S©no held its first ordinary session of the current year on Friday in Dori, under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner of the province, Yaya Kon©. This meeting provided an opportunity to review the activities of the framework members and to strengthen the coordination of interventions for the benefit of the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, High Commissioner Yaya Kon© indicated that this session is taking place in a particularly difficult context, characterized by persistent security and humanitarian challenges, increasing economic pressures, and growing social needs. In the face of this situation, the most appropriate response remains unity of action, sharing of information, and permanent consultation between all development actors involved in the province of S©no.
Mr. Kon© specified that this CCP session offers the opportunity for decentralized state structures as well as member non-governmental organizations to present their activity programs. These exchanges allow for a better understanding of the priorities and strategic directions of each structure, the identification of possible convergences, and the seizing of opportunities for collaboration between actors operating in the field.
The top official of the S©no province also stressed that the consultation framework helps to avoid duplication of actions, to harmonize interventions, and to strengthen the overall impact of projects and programs implemented for the benefit of the population. He recalled that the CCP constitutes a privileged space for exchanges, dialogue, and constructive proposals, established by decree n°2009-835/PRES/PM/MEF/MATD of December 18, 2009, with the mission of monitoring all grassroots development actions and ensuring their coherence.
On this occasion, High Commissioner Yaya Kon© thanked the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the Sahel Community Recovery and Stabilization Project (PCRSS), whose commitment and support made the session possible. For NRC's area coordinator, Amadou Maga, it was the strategic importance of the CCP that motivated his organization's support. He urged other NGOs to follow NRC's lead, which has been present in the Sahel region for several years.
According to Mr. Maga, the NRC intervenes particularly in the areas of education, legal identity, and the construction of water, hygiene, and sanitation infrastructure. At the end of the discussions, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening consultation and synergy of actions in order to improve the effectiveness of interventions and to respond in a coordinated manner to the needs of the populations of the province of S©no, in a context marked by numerous challenges.
