Sourou: The SOS Faso Educ association provided cold protection kits on Saturday to 40 vulnerable students from four primary schools in villages relocated to the town of Tougan. The donations were distributed on Saturday, January 24, 2026, to students from the public primary schools of D®, Kiembara, Lanfiara, and sector 7. The kits consisted of pullovers and soap.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the association, Talord Tiendrbogo, stated that this gesture aims to help the beneficiary students better cope with the cold, which has intensified in recent days. "This is always part of providing a solution to the difficulties faced by displaced students and helping them cope with this wave of cold weather we are currently experiencing," he explained.

For Mikalou Serm, a student in CM1 at the Kiembara C public primary school, this donation is a real relief. "I can now get up very early without being afraid of the cold. This will allow me to arrive at school on time and learn my lessons well," he confided.

The association's president also indicated that this donation was made possible thanks to the support of the non-governmental organization Terre des hommes Lausanne (TDH-L). He expressed his gratitude to the partner NGO and hoped that other organizations would follow suit in order to support students in vulnerable situations. It should be noted that the SOS Faso Educ association had already made a similar donation to 70 primary and secondary school students.
