Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the Nahouri Province, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, presided over the final of the third edition of the P´ Inter-Sector and Village Cohesion Cup. The event, held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, emphasized the role of young people as builders of cohesion and guardians of solidarity and sustainable development.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the tournament was conducted under the theme "Football: a factor of resilience and youth unity." The competition concluded with the village of Pounkouyan claiming victory over sector No. 4 of P´ with a score of 4-1. Over the course of a month, 25 teams from various villages and sectors of P´ participated, highlighting fair play and community spirit.
Tournament organizer Donatien Bako highlighted that the community was actively engaged with the tournament's theme. The champions, Pounkouyan, were awarded a trophy, 75,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, medals, and two balls. The runners-up from Sector 4 received 50,000 CFA francs, along with a set of jerseys, medals, and two balls. Additionally, the teams finishing in 3rd and 4th places were acknowledged for their efforts.
The High Commissioner, along with Bouba Lingani, the patron of the event, praised the organizers for a successful tournament. They urged the youth to remain committed to unity and sustainable development, reinforcing the event's overarching message of resilience and solidarity.
