Gaongo: The Bogodogo University Hospital Center (CHU-B), in collaboration with the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), organized a sanitation operation on Saturday aimed at cleaning up the working environment of the agents. 'Today we launched a cleanup operation at the Bogodogo University Hospital Center (CHU-B) to improve the working environment for staff,' declared the Director General of CHU-B, Seydou Nombre.
According to Burkina Information Agency, cleanliness is essential for a hospital, hence the importance of this hygiene initiative, carried out in partnership with the military personnel from Camp Baba Sy, with the aim of improving the living conditions and care provided to patients. The head of the CHU-B spoke on Saturday, during the sanitation operation organized within the premises of the establishment, with the participation of health workers, local populations, and users, equipped in particular with machetes, picks, shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows.
'We produce waste on a daily basis in our facility and it was important for us to carry out environmental cleanup. This operation also aims to further instill a culture of cleanliness, strongly advocated by the country's authorities,' he stressed. The Director General of Bogodogo Hospital explained that this hygiene initiative also helps to raise awareness among the population about the proper management of waste produced daily.
Seydou Nombre also expressed his wish that this type of sanitation operation would continue in order to maintain a healthy working environment, conducive to improving the provision of care for the benefit of the population. It should be noted that the CHU-B is in its 7th edition of sanitation operation under the leadership of the current head of the health establishment, Seydou Nombre.
