Faso Mªbo Nando: The Region’s Administrative Authorities Mobilize More Than 42 Tons of Materials

Nando: On the sidelines of their first quarterly meeting of 2026, the Heads of Administrative Districts (CCA) of the Nando region, led by Governor Adama Jean Yves Bere, visited the Faso Mªbo site on February 5 to demonstrate their patriotic commitment by handing over more than 42 tons of materials, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the image is striking. Stepping outside their usual consultation framework, the administrative authorities shed their jackets to visit the Faso Mªbo site in the Nando region. This gesture, intended as a concrete manifestation of the patriotism championed at the highest levels of government, provided the Faso Mªbo/Nando region initiative with essential resources for its projects.

Accompanied by staff from the governorate, the Centre-West Regional Council and the High Commission of Koudougou, the CCA officially handed over 40 tonnes of fine granite; 2 tonnes of cement; and a financial contribution of 158,000 CFA francs.

Beyond this allocation, the authorities personally participated in beautification work in the city center around the high commission and the town hall, thus marking their desire to lead by example.

While the donation was the highlight of the day, it was preceded by the quarterly meeting held at the Koudougou governorate. Under the chairmanship of Governor Adama Jean Yves Bere, participants reviewed the situation in the region.

The report presented by the High Commissioners is encouraging. The improvement in the security situation is reflected on the ground by the reopening of schools and health centers; the resettlement of villages formerly under control; the return of displaced populations; and a significant decrease in intercommunal conflicts.

Despite these positive indicators, Governor Bere stressed the need to avoid being overwhelmed by events. While commending the synergy between authorities, community leaders, and the security forces, he called on the local community groups to maintain heightened vigilance: "I urge you to remain vigilant, close to the people, and firm in implementing government instructions," he stated.

Thus, this marathon day for state representatives in the Nando region concluded on a note of administrative firmness and active solidarity.
