Bondigui: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Bondigui, Patrick Bedel Bassiere, presided, on Friday, February 6, in the town hall's reception hall, over a ceremony of recognition in honor of local actors whose actions contribute significantly to community development and the implementation of national initiatives.
According to Burkina Information Agency, surrounded by members of the special delegation, traditional authorities, and several guests, the mayor used this meeting to express the local authorities' gratitude to the sons and daughters of Bondigui who have joined forces with the municipality to support grassroots development efforts. He stated that this initiative reflects a firm commitment to promoting civic engagement and strengthening collective action around national priorities.
'Development actions cannot be sustainable without the effective involvement of communities. That is why it is important to recognize those who, through their means and their commitment, support the efforts of the State,' he said, inviting all populations to join in this patriotic dynamic.
This ceremony marks the official launch of a broader process to recognize the driving forces of the community. For this first phase, two individuals have distinguished themselves through the scope and impact of their contributions to the local population.
One of the recipients is Ousmane Sanfo, head of a mineral water production unit based in Bondigui. In addition to his contribution to the Patriotic Support Fund, he financed the repair of the municipal ambulance to the tune of over 500,000 FCFA, thus strengthening the community's healthcare capacity. For the recipient, this distinction is an encouragement to continue his commitment to serving the people, in response to the call for solidarity from the highest authorities in the country.
Furthermore, the SONGTABA Group of artisanal miners from Diarkadougou was also honored for its financial support of 2,500,000 FCFA provided to the Diarkadougou Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS). This contribution enabled the renewal of the center's solar electrical installations, which had been facing significant energy difficulties for several weeks.
On behalf of the group, its president, Bassirou Sawadogo, expressed his gratitude to the municipal authorities for this gesture of consideration. He also urged the artisanal miners to remain mobilized and to align themselves with the national authorities' vision for the development of Burkina Faso.
Through this initiative, the municipality of Bondigui intends to promote civic engagement, consolidate the synergy of local actions and encourage increased participation of the driving forces in the achievement of local and national development objectives.
