Poni: The Basic Education District (CEB) Of Bouroum-Bouroum Launched The Sports And Cultural Activities Of The Organization Of Sport In Primary Schools (OSCEP) On Wednesday In Kokora For The 2025-2026 School Year, Placed Under The Sign Of Patriotic Commitment And The Quest For Excellence. The Opening Ceremony Was Held At The Kokora Public Primary School, Located About Three Kilometers From The Town Center, And Mobilized All 21 Schools In The District.

According To Burkina Information Agency, The Theme For This Season Is "Sport, Culture And Leisure In Primary School: Levers For Patriotic Awakening, Resilience And The Pursuit Of Excellence." This Theme Aims To Integrate Patriotism Into The Education Of Students. Dr. Lassane Tao, Head Of The Basic Education District (CCEB) Of Bouroum-Bouroum, Emphasized That The School's Mission Is To Develop The Full Potential Of Each Child. He Highlighted The Role Of Sport And Culture In Shaping The Future Of Burkinab¨ Children And Encouraged Coaches And Students To Uphold Fair Play And Civic Values.

The Event Saw Full Participation, With All 21 Schools In The District Taking Part. The Ceremony Featured Fashion Shows By Different Schools, Highlighting The Cultural Richness And Creativity Of The Students. Local Authorities Praised The Strong Turnout Of Supervisors, Teachers, Parents, And The Community, Viewing It As A Testament To The Resilience Of Rural Communities Amidst Current Security Challenges.

The CCEB Also Paid Tribute To The Defense And Security Forces (FDS) And The Volunteers For The Defense Of The Homeland (VDP) For Their Dedication To National Service. The Inaugural Match Featured Bouroum-Bouroum A Public Primary School Against Bouroum-Bouroum B, With Bouroum-Bouroum B Winning 1-0 After A Penalty Shootout. Competitions Will Continue Across The Educational Areas Of The Municipality, Leading To A Grand Final In May 2026.
