Banfora: The Organising Committee Of The International Waterfall Festival (FESTICAS) Held A Press Conference Last Wednesday At Lake Tengrela To Present To The Women And Men Of The Media The Activities Included In The Programme Of The Second Edition Of The Event.
According To Burkina Information Agency, This Press Conference Provided An Opportunity To Discuss The Ambitions And Major Innovations Planned For This New Edition, Which Focuses On Cultural And Tourism Development. The Organizers Reiterated That FESTICAS Aims To Promote The Region's Rich Natural, Artistic, And Cultural Heritage, While Also Contributing To Local Economic Development And Strengthening Social Cohesion.
The Second Edition Is Placed Under The Patronage Of The Minister Of State, Minister Of Agriculture, Animal Resources And Fisheries, Isma«l Sombie, The Co-Patronage Of The Minister Of Communication, Culture, Arts And Tourism, Pingdwende Gilbert Ouedraogo, And The Chairmanship Of The Governor Of The Tannounounyan Region, Patrice Yeye.
Building On The Success Of Its Inaugural Edition In April 2025, The Festival Aims To Reach New Heights Through A More Structured And Inclusive Organization. Several Major Activities Are Planned, Including Guided Tours Of Iconic Sites, Public Concerts, Craft And Food Exhibitions, Thematic Panels, Training Programs For Youth And Women, As Well As Cultural And Sporting Competitions.
The Commissioner General Of FESTICAS, Mamadou Kone, Also Known As Yougoss, Expressed His Sincere Gratitude To The Highest Authorities Of Burkina Faso For Their Continued Support In Organizing This Second Edition, Particularly The Relevant Ministries And The Regional Authority. He Also Invited All Those Of Goodwill, Partners, And Sponsors To Support The Initiative To Ensure The Resounding Success Of This Major Cultural And Tourism Event.
