Bittou: A total of 2.5 tons of food supplies were provided to the families of the FDS and VDP soldiers who fell in the line of duty. The donation, consisting of bags of corn, rice, and cans of oil, is estimated at 2.5 million CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the organizers stated that this gesture aims to demonstrate the population's solidarity with the bereaved families and to reaffirm their commitment alongside the authorities in the fight to reclaim the territory. "The objective is to support the President of Faso in his vision for the reconquest of the territory, to affirm our will to restore the authority of the State, to protect the population and to build a better and respected Burkina Faso," said the president of the municipal coordination of citizen watch associations of Bittou, Moubarik Diessongo.
Mr. Diessongo commended the courage and commitment of the security forces and the volunteers who, according to him, "work tirelessly day and night to ensure the safety of the population." He affirmed that citizen vigilance will remain mobilized for any initiative aimed at strengthening territorial security, safeguarding the country's strategic interests, promoting social justice, and guaranteeing the dignity of Burkinab¨ citizens.
The president of the special delegation of Bittou, representing the High Commissioner of Boulgou Province, presided over the ceremony. He symbolically handed over the food supplies to representatives of the beneficiaries, in the presence of government officials, traditional authorities, representatives of the provincial coordinating bodies of Boulgou and Koulp©logo, and members of the security forces.
Speaking on behalf of the High Commissioner, Mr. Diabat© commended the strong mobilization of the population and the commitment of the organizers. "Your commitment, your mobilization, and your determination are an example for us all. Your contribution is essential for the development of our community and, consequently, of the Nakamb© region," he stated, while also expressing his wishes for peace and security for Burkina Faso.
Alongside the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the security forces, the volunteers, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support of the authorities' actions. The chief of Mogomnire, representing the chief of Bittou, thanked the authorities and called upon the population to live together in harmony and to provide continued support for peace and security efforts.
