Sandbondtenga: 98 new peace ambassadors honored in Kaya. The recipients received a sash and a certificate in recognition of their contribution to the promotion of peace and living together. The ceremony took place under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner of the Sandbondtenga province, Idrissa Gamsonr©, in the presence of administrative, religious, military and paramilitary authorities as well as customary chiefs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Ousmane Zamtako, president of the award's organizing committee, stated that these individuals were honored for their commitment to promoting peace in Burkina Faso. The beneficiaries perceived this distinction as recognition, but also as an invitation to further strengthen actions to anchor peace within communities.
The High Commissioner urged the new ambassadors of peace to continue their efforts to promote social cohesion, dialogue and living together. The Universal Peace Federation promotes a vision of peace based on cooperation among peoples, moral and family values, intercultural dialogue, and ethical leadership oriented towards the common good. It awards the title of Ambassador of Peace to individuals-religious, academic, or community leaders-who distinguish themselves through their commitment to peace, dialogue, and social cohesion, adhering to the organization's principles.
