Biombo Kahoun Appointed as New Provincial Director of Agriculture in K en edougou

Orodara: The Secretary General of K en edougou Province, Bassanmaa Ko, officially installed Agricultural Engineer Biombo Kahoun as the new Provincial Director of Agriculture for K en edougou on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in Orodara. He pledged to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to address the sector's challenges for the benefit of the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Agricultural Engineer Biombo Kahoun was appointed by the Council of Ministers at its meeting on February 5, 2026. He succeeds Gassi Lougu e, the former Provincial Director of Agriculture, and Mathieu Ou edraogo, the former Provincial Director of Water.

The ceremony was attended by the regional director of Agriculture, Water and Animal and Fisheries Resources of Guiriko, as well as collaborators and partners of the provincial directorate. The new provincial director expressed gratitude to the authorities of his ministerial department for the trust placed in him.

Biombo Kahoun pledged to continue the work of his predecessors and to collaborate with all stakeholders to address the sector's challenges for the benefit of the people of K en edougou. The outgoing provincial directors commended the collaboration of their respective teams.

Gassi Lougu e mentioned that the results obtained on the ground are tangible and that their significance is for individuals to appreciate. Mathieu Ou edraogo highlighted several achievements in the water sector during his tenure, emphasizing that these accomplishments were a result of collective effort.

The Secretary General of the K en edougou Province, Bassanmaa Ko, congratulated the outgoing directors for their work and wished them success in their future roles. He also advised the new provincial director to prioritize teamwork, rigor, and public service to succeed in his mission.
