Ganzourgou: Teachers from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Meguet presented their New Year's greetings to their District Chief, Mr. Albert Nongaouagre Koalaga, as well as to the management team, on Friday, February 13, 2026. It has become a tradition in the Meguet basic education district. Every year, on the occasion of the New Year, the staff of the CEB organize themselves to present their greetings to their head.
According to Burkina Information Agency, for this year 2026, the ceremony was held on the evening of Friday, February 13th and was placed under the sign of cohesion and collective commitment. It mobilized stakeholders in the education sector, with the notable presence of illustrious guests including the Secretary General of the Meguet town hall, Mr. Yacouba Ouattara, the Sig Nonguin Naba, representing His Majesty Naba Saaga of Meguet, and the former mayor of Meguet, Mr. Pierre Kabore.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, staff representative T. Patrice Kafando welcomed the appointment last December of Mr. Albert Nongaouagre Koalaga as head of the district. He then extended his best wishes for health, prosperity, and success to Mr. Koalaga and his management team for 2026. He reaffirmed the teachers' commitment and readiness to support him in achieving the objectives of his mission.
In response, the CCEB, Albert Nongaouagre Koalaga, expressed his gratitude to the teachers for this show of consideration. He conveyed his confidence in the school principals and all staff. He commended the CEB's achievements to date and encouraged everyone involved to continue their efforts and strengthen collaboration to improve results at the end of the school year.
The ceremony was also an opportunity to pay tribute to Mr. Claude No«l Ouedraogo, who retired in December 2025, and to Inspector Blaise Zoungrana who served at the CEB of Meguet and is currently assigned to the province of Kourweogo. It concluded with cultural events. See you in 2027.
