Nobere: The Basic Education District (CEB) of Nobere organized the Day of Academic Excellence for the year 2024-2025 at the Nobere 'A' primary school. This event, held under the theme "Cultivating Excellence and Patriotism through the Recognition of Merit, a Lever for Endogenous Development and Resilience," honored top performers in the municipality's educational community. The initiative aimed to acknowledge dedication and hard work that distinguish the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), Prosper Sandaogo Ilboudo, expressed satisfaction with the steady improvement in academic results in his area. "Since 2021, our results have been continuously rising. For this year, 2025, we have achieved a success rate of 83.25%," he stated, urging teachers and students to maintain this performance level.
The event was financially supported by the Special Delegation of Nobere, led by Prefect Pierre Kafando, who described the support as a "strategic investment," despite budgetary constraints. He commended the collective effort that contributed to the event's success.
Sponsored by El-Hadj Seydou Sedogo, CEO of Sey Telecom, and two co-sponsors from the area, the event underscored a commitment to education. Mr. Sedogo emphasized that "education is the foundation of all sustainable development," and pledged continued support for such initiatives.
A total of 11 students were recognized, each receiving a bicycle, a school bag, and school supplies. Teachers were also acknowledged, with the first prize awarded to Ms. Aicha Sakande from Nobili "A" School, consisting of a Yamaha 115 I motorcycle and a laptop bag. Second and third place winners received laptops. Special prizes, including tablets and letters of congratulations, were also distributed to acknowledge specific commitments.
