D©ou: A donation of 310,000 FCFA has strengthened solidarity around citizen monitoring in the community. The Citizen Vigilance Association (AVC) of D©ou officially received and presented the donation on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Offered by the organization "D©ou Ma Fiert©," the donation was made to benefit the residents of the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation, comprising 11 cartons of sugar and 11 kg of dates, embodies a spirit of solidarity, sharing, and civic vigilance, particularly during the Muslim fasting period, which is a time for community support. Officials entrusted the initiative to the D©ou Citizen Watch Association (AVC) due to its dynamism and unity, qualities that have been praised by local partners. The gesture aims to bolster social cohesion and reinforce trust between young people involved in civic activities and the wider community.

The president of the D©ou AVC, Ms. Ciss© Hadjiratou Brahima, expressed her gratitude to the donors. "We sincerely thank the 'D©ou Ma Fiert©' structure for this strong gesture of solidarity towards the population of D©ou and for the trust placed in the Association Veille Citoyenne de D©ou. In this period of sharing, this donation is a message of peace, unity and social cohesion," she stated.

Ms. Ciss© also called upon others of goodwill to provide greater support to citizen initiatives that contribute to the well-being of communities. The beneficiaries lauded the action, viewing it as a demonstration of concrete commitment to mutual support and community cohesion within the municipality of D©ou.
