Sanaba: The Sanaba Basic Education District (CEB) officially launched its sports, cultural, and recreational activities for the 2025-2026 school year on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Sanaba A school grounds, in the presence of local authorities and education stakeholders.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held under the theme "Sport and Culture: Factors of Cohesion and Academic Success." The launch included the presentation of certificates of recognition to three sponsors who contributed to the success of previous editions. The ceremony began with a curtain-raiser match between two teams from the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), setting the tone for the competitions.
The population of Sanaba came out in large numbers to attend the parade of students and the performances of traditional ballets, performed to the rhythm of local music, highlighting the cultural richness of the region.
This season, several disciplines are on the program, including men's football, athletics, traditional ballets, drawing, recitals, and parades in traditional outfits. The head of the Sanaba Basic Education District, Jean Konat©, congratulated all those involved for their commitment and encouraged teachers to support students so they can fully express their talents, particularly in football and ballet.
