Silmiraogo Nabalma Promotes Moral Values Education Among Boussouma Students

Sandbondtenga: The Star of Faso for the Koulse region and first vice-president of the special municipal delegation of Boussouma, Silmiraogo Nabalma, led a conference on Saturday in Boussouma for the students of the commune, focused on the promotion of social, civic, and patriotic values.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was organized under the facilitation of the president of the special municipal delegation of Boussouma, Madjoa Lompo. The event was attended by the regional director of human rights of Koulse, Zakaria Bayoulou, along with local military, paramilitary authorities, and school officials. The initiative aims to raise awareness among school children about the principles of integrity, honesty, and responsibility, considered essential foundations for building a balanced society.

Silmiraogo Nabalma shared his educational, academic, and professional journey with the students to encourage them to adopt exemplary behaviors. "It is important that young people understand the need to be honest, upright men and women who respect others, for the good of our society and of Burkina Faso today and tomorrow," he emphasized.

During his speech, Nabalma urged the students to believe in success through hard work and integrity. He stated, "One can succeed honestly, with commitment, and without cheating. I could have been a multi-billionaire, but I chose to remain poor, honest, and dignified."

He explained that this activity marks the beginning of a series of meetings for students in the region. "We will continue these discussions throughout the Boussouma district to reach all students. We will also travel to the Bam and Namentenga provinces to share these core values for the benefit of our younger brothers and sisters and for the good of our country," he announced.

Madjoa Lompo, president of the special municipal delegation of Boussouma, praised the initiative, noting that Etoile du Faso is a benchmark for the municipality. He believes this aligns with the dynamic of patriotic and civic guidance for young people and contributes to strengthening the culture of values within schools.

Zakaria Bayoulou, the regional director of human rights for Koulse, regarded Nabalma's testimony as a source of inspiration for the students. He was particularly struck by the statement, "I am retired, but I am not disarmed," interpreting it as a call for continued commitment to serving society.

Silmiraogo Nabalma was designated Star of Faso for the Koulse region in 2025 by the Ministry of Justice during the 2nd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) for his patriotic acts.
