Banwa Secretary General Urges Unity and Discipline at Flag-Raising Ceremony

Banwa: The Secretary General of the Banwa province, Abdoul Kader KongZabre, has urged the population to put aside grudges and disputes during a flag-raising ceremony held on Monday morning. This call for unity and emotional restraint was made during the traditional raising of the colors, which took place at the provincial directorate of family and solidarity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, which marked the first Monday of March, was attended by administrative, customary, and religious authorities, along with members of the defense and security forces (FDS) and the civilian population. In his address, Mr. KongZabre, who represented the High Commissioner, encouraged the community to remain steadfast and united, emphasizing the importance of discipline in building the future of Burkina Faso.

Mr. KongZabre also expressed gratitude to the defense and security forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and self-defense auxiliaries for their dedication and sacrifices. As part of the ceremony, local villages contributed five tonnes of cement, two wheelbarrows, and five shovels to support Faso Mebo, demonstrating community solidarity and commitment to collective progress.
