Ouagadougou: The Saint Antoine de Padoue parish of Cinkanse on a sectoral pilgrimage to Taram-Noaga
Catholic faithful from Sangha carried out their sectoral pilgrimage on Sunday, March 1, to Taram-Noaga, a village located northeast of the city, at the initiative of the Parish of Saint Anthony of Padua of Cinkanse. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the parish priest, Father Constantin Kabore, at Saint Marcel Church in Sangha.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this pilgrimage is part of the National Week of Resource Mobilization for the Alfred Diban Catholic Solidarity Fund, whose theme is: "Whoever gives even a single glass of water to drink will not lose their reward." In his homily, the celebrant urged the faithful to live their faith fully by being bearers of joy, peace, and forgiveness in their daily lives. He emphasized that going on a pilgrimage involves leaving behind one's routines to seek a deeper meaning in life and strengthen one's relationship with God.
During the celebration, the catechumens took the penultimate step in their journey towards baptism, marking a significant moment in their spiritual commitment. The ceremony brought together all the Catholic faithful in the area, who came to share in prayer and fellowship. The prayer service concluded around 11 a.m., followed by a fair that offered pilgrims an opportunity for sharing and conviviality.
