Teachers in Bourasso Enhance Mathematics Problem-Solving Skills

Bourasso: Teachers from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Bourasso are actively engaging in a workshop to enhance their mathematics problem-solving skills at the middle school level, under the guidance of Frederic Nindamou Yehoun, the provincial director in charge of Primary Education.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this educational gathering took place on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, aiming to facilitate experience sharing among teachers in Bourasso. Harouna Ouedraogo, a teacher of the CM2 class, spearheaded the event by presenting a lesson focused on problem-solving strategies.

Following Ouedraogo's presentation, participants, particularly those with more experience, shared their insights and knowledge, leading to a consensus on an effective methodology for tackling mathematical problems. Malick Sidibe, the Head of the constituency, emphasized the importance of demystifying these problems for improved learning outcomes.

The event featured interactive question and answer sessions, which helped participants become more familiar with effective problem-solving techniques. After a session dedicated to constructive feedback, discussions shifted to administrative issues, with solutions being considered.

Frederic Nindamou Yehoun expressed his satisfaction with the dedication shown by the teachers, acknowledging their sacrifices for the sake of education in the nation. To culminate the training, educators learned to sing the national anthem in Dioula, adding a cultural dimension to the professional development session.
