Atti Events Fosters Interfaith Harmony in Manga with Communal Iftar

Ouagadougou: Atti Events organizes a joint breaking of the fast in Manga to promote dialogue between religions. Atti Events is organizing a joint breaking of the fast in Manga on Friday, with a view to strengthening social cohesion between Christians and Muslims.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Atti Events organized a communal iftar (breaking of the fast) at the Manga regional stadium on Friday, March 6, 2026, bringing together Christians and Muslims to strengthen coexistence and religious tolerance. Regional, provincial, traditional, and religious authorities lent their support to the event.

For Atti Oulon, the founder of Atti Events, this event was not simply a time to share a meal, but "a powerful symbol of fraternity." She went on to say that religious diversity should, on the contrary, be seen as "an asset," before concluding, "When hearts are united, peace prevails," and the spirit of God hovers above.

El Hadj Ouanga, representative of the Muslim community of Manga, welcomed this initiative, which he sees as an opportunity to promote dialogue between religions that share a common goal: cultivating love for one's neighbor and tolerance. "Before being Muslim or Christian, we are human beings and Burkinab¨ first and foremost," he said. He concluded his remarks by saying, "If we love God, then we must love his creatures."

In turn, the parish priest of Manga expressed his deep gratitude to my sponsor for this initiative, which brings together the sons and daughters of the province. He also expressed his hope that this tradition would continue for generations to come.

This moment of sharing was also an opportunity to pray for social stability and the return of peace to Burkina Faso. Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters joined together and all emphasized the necessity of living together in the face of the security challenges and the erosion of moral values.

It should be noted that since February 19th, Christians and Muslims have been observing the month of Lent, a time of meditation, prayer and multiplying good deeds around oneself.
