Kourw eogo: The High Commissioner of Kourw eogo Province, Mahamadi Congo, called on public officials this Thursday, March 5, 2026, to be models of integrity and loyalty in service to the people. This call was made during the monthly flag-raising ceremony held at the provincial directorate of Water and Forests, in the presence of local dignitaries.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was marked by a tribute to the national emblem and various speeches. The High Commissioner particularly emphasized respect for working hours, ethics, and the fight against practices that do not honor the agent or the State's services. He also welcomed the establishment of a Republican Security Company brigade in the province, noting that the national police unit will enhance security arrangements. Congo urged the population to collaborate with the new brigade to aid its missions.
During the ceremony, the provincial authority took stock of resource mobilization for the D¨m¨ Sira initiative, congratulating Kourw eogo's active forces for their contributions exceeding 4 million CFA francs, making the province second in the region. Congo extended wishes for a fruitful month of fasting and penitence, expressing hope for peace and security in Burkina Faso, and called on citizens to pay their taxes and duties.
Meanwhile, Tasser e Ou edraogo, the provincial director of Water and Forests, urged efforts to preserve the natural environment of aquatic fauna. He highlighted the issue of drying lowlands causing crocodiles to migrate, potentially leading to conflicts. Ou edraogo encouraged local water body operators to consider the protection of these revered creatures. He expressed gratitude for the community's commitment to reforestation activities in the province.
Alassane Kabor e, the first commander of the Republican Security Company (CRS) of Bouss e, outlined the company's missions, including maintaining order and supporting the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) in combating terrorism and urban crime. The provincial tax office has been designated to host the next meeting.
