Ouagadougou: The closing ceremony of the patriotic immersion program for middle school students was held this Saturday in Djibo, presided over by the High Commissioner of Soum Province, Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma. The students impressed the audience with close-order drills and a rhythmic military parade, demonstrating their discipline and civic engagement.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event drew a large crowd: administrative authorities, provincial directors and department heads, defense and security forces, religious and traditional leaders, representatives of NGOs and associations, as well as many parents who came to support their children. The ceremony began with the solemn raising of the national flag, setting the patriotic tone for the event.

The highlight of the day was the message from student representative Pªgedwªnde Ruth Boina, who stated that civic responsibility is no longer just a lesson for them, but a "vocation." The students expressed their gratitude to the authorities and proclaimed that every step learned during this immersion program constitutes a commitment to the Nation.

In his address, High Commissioner Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma praised the discipline and commitment of the students, while officially declaring this patriotic immersion session closed.

The ceremony ended on a note of general satisfaction. Parents, authorities, and community leaders expressed their pride in the transformation of the young people and hoped that this initiative would be sustained in the Soum province and throughout the country.
