Prosecution Seeks Lengthy Sentences for Yé Yaké Camille and Laure Hien/Zongo in High-Profile Case

Ouagadougou: The prosecution asked the court on Thursday to declare Yé Yaké Camille and Laure Hien/Zongo guilty of the charges against them and to sentence them respectively to prison terms of 11 years and 5 years, as well as fines of several hundred million FCFA.According to Burkina Information Agency, the prosecution has notably requested 11 years of imprisonment against Yé Yaké Camille, along with a fixed fine of 522 million CFA francs. He also asked the court to issue a warrant for the arrest of Yé Yaké Camille and Laure Hien/Zongo, as well as the confiscation of their assets up to the amount of the monetary fines.A sentence of 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 258,995,400 CFA francs is requested against Laure Hien/Zongo. Against Ouédraogo Ismaël, he requested 5 years of imprisonment and a fixed fine of 255 million CFA francs.The prosecution also requested a 15-month suspended prison sentence and a 30 million CFA franc fine against Bila Pasco, as well as a 15-month suspended prison sentence and a 3 1 million CFA franc fine against Yaméogo Dimanche. Fifteen months of suspended imprisonment and a fixed fine of 67.5 million CFA francs were also requested against Bonkoungou Lidye.
